This policy covers the Happy Roads Android app (com.tumeechu.happyroads), published by Tumeechu. It exists in English and Greek; the Greek section below is the same policy, not a summary.

Summary

Happy Roads stores your vehicle records on your own device. It does not run ads, does not use analytics or crash-reporting services, and does not sell or share your data with anyone. The only place your data can leave your device is a backup you explicitly create — either a file you save or share yourself, or an automatic copy to your own Google Drive, if you turn that on.

What data the app handles

Vehicle and trip records — makes, models, odometer readings, fuel fill-ups, services, expenses, income, reminders, trips and their routes. Kept in a local database on your device.
Photos — vehicle photos and, if you choose to add them, scans of a vehicle's documents or of your own driving licence and identity card. Kept on your device; included in a backup only if you choose to include that category (see Backups, below).
Location — used only while the app is recording a trip, to draw its route and compute distance. Location is not collected in the background outside of an active trip recording, and it is not sent anywhere except into the trip record on your device (and from there, into a backup, if you make one).
Google account, if you sign in — used only to connect to your own Google Drive for backup, and to identify that Drive as yours. The app does not read your Gmail, contacts, or any other Google data.

Backups

You choose whether a backup exists, what it contains, and where it goes:

A file you export — saved wherever you choose on your device, or shared through Android's normal share sheet (to email, a cloud drive, anywhere you pick). Happy Roads does not receive a copy.
Automatic backup to your Google Drive — only if you sign in and enable it. The file is written to your own Drive; the developer has no access to it. You can turn this off, or delete the backup from your Drive, at any time.
Selective backup — you can exclude photographs, vehicle document scans, and your driving licence/identity card photos from a backup individually.

What the app does not do

No advertising, no ad networks.
No analytics or usage tracking.
No crash-reporting service.
No account of your own with the developer — the only account involved is your Google account, used solely for the Drive backup described above.
Your vehicle data is never sold, rented, or shared with any third party.

Data retention and deletion

Your records live on your device for as long as the app is installed. Uninstalling the app removes its local database and photos. A Drive backup, if you made one, is not deleted by uninstalling the app — delete it from your Google Drive, or from the app's backup screen while it is still installed.

Permissions the app requests, and why

Location — to record a trip's route while you are recording it.
Camera / photo library — to attach a photo to a vehicle, a document, or your driving licence/identity card, only when you choose to add one.
Notifications — to remind you of upcoming deadlines (ΚΤΕΟ, insurance, road tax, service).
Storage / file access — to save or open a backup file where you choose.

Children

Happy Roads is a vehicle record-keeping tool and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated text will be published at this same address, with the date at the top revised.
